They have often been called the Weavers of Words, for that is their greatest gift. Storytellers and actors with the finest tones and understanding of the language. The Weavers are scholars and entertainers alike.

The third-highest of the lower Great houses, the Weavers are in charge of recording the history of Terra Dei. Their libraries house and protect 3425 years worth of war, power, and peace. All are written by the Masters of the House -- those educated and learned; trusted to document history truthfully. The honor of Master is awarded once a year to one person who have demonstrated the ability to carry the title.
Thirty-five hundred years ago, Weaver was a poet and actor rumored to be responsible for the fall of Valeria, Terra Dei's then queen. He was found in her bed when Gregor (soon to be king) burst into her bedchamber to murder her. No one knows how Weaver escaped murder himself, but he was locked in the castle dungeon when Gregor was crowned.
To clear his name, Weaver bribed a guard to give him paper and ink. He wrote down his history and what he had learned about Terra Dei while he was Valeria's lover. He documented everything until the day he was dragged out of his cell to be executed.
His manuscript was found by one of the jailers and secreted away. The whole basis of House Weaver's code of ethics is based on Weaver's example of honesty and they strive to keep to it.

Only a few have ever read Weaver's autobiography and confessions and now its one of House Weaver's most sacred documents, kept under lock and key away from prying eyes. All Matriarchs and Patriarchs have read the document (indeed, they are required to when they take the position) but none of any lesser rank have ever laid eyes on it.
They are currently responsible also for maintaining the records in the Hall of Records.
Gossip
- The history written by House Weaver can hardly be trusted as absolute fact since they can hardly be unbiased.
- Like the God they follow, they hardly seem to have any sex at all or to care for it. It's unnatural.
- There is a fine line between recording the history objectively and slander, House Weaver often likes to cross that line.
