An Assassination attempt has been made on the Queen! Rumors fly and voices whisper. Who could have done this? Could it have been the machinations of one of her consorts, Arburin or Nissa? Neither of which were anywhere to be found the night of the attempt. Could it be one of the Eight Great Houses, with their love of rich, lavish, decadence and deft use of power? Or could the attempt have been orchestrated by Sikys, rival queen from across the border?

Terra Dei is a 21+, high fantasy, courtly/political intrigue, sex-friendly game that takes place in a fictional world. Upcoming Events

Held annually on the last Sunday before the Spring Equinox, it is the night for the last glimmer of light on snowflakes and ice. For some it is the first night of a week long time to reflect and give thanks, in keeping with the old ways of saying goodbye at last to winter. For some it is the beginning of a week long celebration of community and warmth.

For others, it's the beginning of a week of festivities, to use up the stores that were kept throughout the winter, a time of feasting and play. At the palace, it's a night of revelry, of dancing and feasting, and all the excesses that Terra Dei is known for, while the palace itself is decorated in pale hues cut by dramatic slashes of color.

As is tradition at the Winter Fete, a gift of seeds that is accepted by another person allows the giver to ask them for a single boon. Amongst children, the boon tends to be innocent: a kiss, a single dance. For adults it can be something more: the promise of a contract, or a sale, though boons can be rejected if they place too much of a hardship on the promiser. But as always, a giver should be aware to be careful what they ask for, as the boon may be answered in any way the promiser decides.

This year's Winter Fete night promises to be a cool one, but mild. Dress for the warmth of indoors, the chill of the night, or nothing at all if certain rooms are visited.
